Subaru Impreza Wheel Chart
This is a list of 5-bolt 100mm (5X100) pattern wheels that are known to fit all Subaru Imprezas. The data contained here has been obtained from discussions in the i-Club Forums, Outback Sport message board, and very helpful (and appreciated) feedback from site visitors.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, and I've limited the wheel sizes to a selection of 15"-17" alloy wheels, and some 18" wheels. For very good lists of other wheels, please see CVL's Roadster Page.
Note: The 15" stock wheels are 55mm offset, while the 16" stock wheels are 52mm offset. Therefore, certain wheels listed here with less than 50mm offset may result in tire rubbing against the wheel well molding or even the wheel well's inside fender lip. Tire size, as well as tire brand and model, will also affect whether a particular tire/wheel combination will rub. As a general rule, Dunlop and Hoosier tires tend to be quite a bit wider than Bridgestone, Kumho, Yokohama, and BFGoodrich tires, even for the same width ratings, e.g., a 225-wide BFG may not rub, but a 215-wide Dunlop may. Sometimes, removing the wheel well molding will cure the rubbing problem. Other times, it may be necessary to roll the fenders in. Rolling the fenders is a risky proposition, as it will usually result in paint cracking and sometimes even noticeable warpage of the fenders. To be absolutely safe, it is best to stick to 50mm or higher offsets.

The Deviation number assumes that the 205/55R16 is used as the ideal tire. Revolutions/Mile numbers are taken from actual manufacturer data from popular performance tires.

¹ Approximate prices are lowest prices known for each wheel for new or slightly-used take-offs in the USA. Prices may be out of date, so please verify pricing with the vendors while shopping. Prices do not include shipping, except those sold by Discount Tire Direct.
² I have been informed that the O.Z. Superleggerra 18x8 wheels require fender rolling to fit the GC8 Impreza (pre-2002). Thanks to Perra from the Swedish Impreza Club. It should be safe to assume that any 7.5" or wider wheel will require fender rolling on GC8 bodies.
³ These wheels are known to clear pre-2004 STi Subaru 4-pot brakes as well as 2002 WRX 11" rotors and calipers. Other wheels not indicated as such may also fit, but I am just not aware of it. These wheels may not fit the 2004+ STi's larger Brembo brakes.
